Coronavirus (COVID-19) Response from CEO & Managing Partner Jason Duffy

To Our Valued Customers:

​

The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to have an impact on communities across the world. Our thoughts are with all those who have been affected by COVID-19. With that in mind, it’s important that I share some of the steps we at the Doughnut Peddler are taking to ensure the health and safety of all our customers and employees.

 

As this is a quickly evolving situation, we have already implemented certain protocol in our bakeries and distribution centers. Our offices are closely monitoring for updates so that we can rapidly make any necessary changes as recommended by the CDC, WHO, FDA, and local public health agencies. To date:

​

• We have increased the frequency of cleaning and sanitization in all bakeries, offices, and distribution centers. We have and will continue to use the strongest and most effective industrial-strength sanitation products recommended.

​

• Our policy has always been to ensure that sick employees do not come to work. We are taking all reasonable steps to make certain that this policy is being strictly followed by everyone in our organization.

​

• We are constantly educating and reminding employees to follow Good Manufacturing Practices as outlined by the FDA.

​

• We are limiting travel to our facilities for suppliers, business partners, and clients.

​

• We are limiting business travel of our own employees and monitoring all other employee travel.

​

• We are in consistent communication with our vendors and are actively working to prevent any disruption in access to ingredients or supplies.

​

• We have increased our inventories where possible in the event of supply chain shortages.

​

• We have also formed an internal safety committee to field questions and provide internal and external sources with updates as the situation unfolds.

​

The health and safety of our customers and employees is and always will be our top priority. We will continue to take whatever steps are necessary to ensure we are doing our part to keep the community healthy.
